Message from the Dean
 It is with great pride that I introduce you to the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. The School is proud of its tradition of academic excellence and innovation in nursing education, clinical research, patient care and advance practice delivery systems. We are committed to graduating outstanding advanced practice nurses — nurses who are grounded in theory and research as guides to their clinical practice; who are responsive to their patients' and communities' needs; and who are technologically savvy. Nurses who care.
With the 21st century upon us, the School of Nursing is developing innovative technological solutions to advanced practice nursing issues. Our Associate Dean for Educational Informatics, Betsy Weiner, PhD, and our faculty are active in developing technologies to improve the quality and delivery of nursing education, advanced practice nursing care and the measurement of outcomes.
